I don't know how some of you have lives where there is something going on nearly every minute. This was one of those weekends for us. In fact, we had so many things come up this weekend we had a hard time deciding what to turn down!
On Friday night, Graham's sister came into town from Tampa with her 3 kids. Graham's Mom and George came over and we had pizza and games. Hannah had a big time pulling Audrey through the yard in her wagon. Audrey was just interested in whatever little man Tucker was doing. And William, sweet mischievous William, was happy playing in the dog crates or pushing Audrey's [pink] lawnmower.
Saturday was a nice day. Graham cut the grass and I baked cookies in the morning. William and Tucker came over to spend the afternoon with us while the girls were at the ballet. Tucker and Audrey took a bath together and both giggled the whole time. William was pretty entertained just watching these two.
On Saturday night our good friends Marsha and Tony Cintorino had our family over for dinner. YUM is all I have to say! Dinner was so nice and we enjoyed hanging out with Marsha and Tony, and even the rest of the family. They have a great house. Every piece of art or furniture has a story...even the large rooster in the backyard! At the end of the night Tony gave each of us girls a special gift...one of his paintings from his studio. The paintings we each chose are as different as we are. I picked out a yellow and black painting that looked like it painted with Audrey's room in mind.
On Sunday we laid low and relaxed. It's hard enough as it is to get Audrey to nap on the weekends that I didn't want to push our luck to do much more. In the afternoon we packed up our car and began the long trek to Marietta. Six hours later we ended up at our friends' house for supper club. Blake and Julie have a great new house and not a minute too soon as they plan to grow their family later this year. In fact, 3 out of 6 supper clubbers are pregnant. Audrey will be happy to have some other kiddos to get into trouble with.
The cherry on top of our great weekend was Audrey giggling herself to sleep on the car ride home. Aunt Darbie had Audrey in stiches in the backseat and the next thing you knew she was out. Audrey slept all night and I even had to wake her up this morning. Now that is a good end to a weekend!
